Viscose

Viscose is made from plant cellulose, usually sourced from wood. The cellulose is dissolved and formed into new fibres, which are then spun into yarn and woven into fabric. This process gives viscose its own character: soft to the touch, breathable and fluid in movement.

At Place of Spirit, we choose viscose fabrics for the way they drape around the body. Our viscose satin adds a smooth surface and gentle sheen to flowing kimonos, wide leg trousers and coordinated sets. Each piece is finished with double-stitched seams for added strength.
